CECP Classes
CECP Prepared Childbirth Classes are designed to provide the best up to date audio/visual presentation and in depth instruction on preparing for childbirth. Classes are interactive and include prenatal exercise, prenatal massage, and time devoted for practice of relaxation techniques for labor. CECP believes that labor coaches are true partners in the labor process; therefore, class instruction and practice are geared to promote and strengthen teamwork between mom and coach. All CECP childbirh class participants receive a comprehensive course workbook written by nationally respected childbirth educators, a CECP lecture guide with space for note taking, and a beautiful certificate upon completion of the course.

| Professional In-Home AssessmentsCECP's pediatric assessment service provides an in-home Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) for the early identification and intervention of developmental delays in infants and children. This service is provided by referral from a pediatrician only. |

Prepared Childbirth Class Offerings
• Three day, Four day and Five day Prepared Childbirth Classes
• Two day Refresher Childbirth Class - for those who have given birth previously
• Early Pregnancy Childbirth Class Series - One class day per month for five months |
All Classes are by Private In-Home Instruction
We are happy to provide evening and weekend appointments for your convenience. All class appointments are three hours in duration. Generally, appointments are scheduled for one day a week unless otherwise specified. However, we will work with you to try to accommodate your preferred schedule. When scheduling appointments, please keep in mind that your class should be completed at least two weeks before your due date.
Newborn Care Class
Included free with all classes except for Refresher Childbirth Classes and the three week Childbirth Class. The Newborn Care Class can be taken as a separate class without registering for a childbirth class. |

PREPARED CHILDBIRTH CLASS INFORMATION
Teaching Methods Utilized to Enhance Your Class Experience
CECP Prepared Childbirth Classes for Waterbirthing and Prepared Childbirth Classes for Multiples uses audio/visual presentations and course materials specific for these special classes.
Natural childbirth and Waterbirth preparation classes provide more instruction and practice time devoted to autogenic relaxation techniques and emphasis on prenatal massage, guided imagery, visualization and more. Four week classes are recommended for Natural Childbirth Preparation, and five week classes are recommended for Waterbirth preparation.
Prepared Childbirth Classes for the hearing impaired or deaf are specially enhanced with the use of ASL and captioned visual media, illustrated posters, animated teaching materials, and emphasis on interactive teaching and demonstrations. Clients may also choose to utilize ITTY or provide their own interpreter to enhance their class experience.
A mock labor and delivery practice is incorporated in all Prepared Childbirth Classes. A simulated practice for newborn care is provided in four and five week childbirth classes.
